We are pleased to bring you the opportunity to purchase our fine home designs.  Purchasing a pre-designed plan is an option for homeowners or builders looking to streamline the process or reduce costs.

Contact us for help and advice in the search for your new home plan. Before purchasing a construction set, consider purchasing a design set to thoroughly review the plan. See Pricing (below) for purchase options. You should also contact your building and zoning departments and review any covenant restrictions before plan purchase. Building costs and conditions vary, so we recommend consulting with local building and design professionals. You may require additional documentation before building your home, including, but not limited to:
   • Site survey
   • Soils test and report
   • Engineered foundation plan
   • Engineered floor and roof plans
   • Site and/or grading plan
   • Energy analysis
   • Subdivision or municipal architectural review requirements
   • Building specifications
   • Construction observation

Unlike many plan services, we work directly with home owners and builder/contractors to provide additional design and drafting services. These additional services are provided at an hourly rate. Please contact us for an estimate.

Plan changes are considered an additional service. Contact us to discuss the feasibility of desired changes. Common changes are:
   • Eliminating or adding a basement
   • Changing exterior elevations and materials
   • Changing garage size and orientation
   • Enlarging or reducing room sizes

Our licensed architects design and complete the construction documents for all the homes in our portfolio. We provide both excellent home design and quality construction documents that have kept our contractor clients coming back year after year.

Two types of sets are available:
DESIGN SET - $0.25 per square foot *
(not available on plans 2500 square feet or less)
A design set consists of main level floor plans and exterior elevations. This set may be used as a preview to the purchase of a full construction set or as starting point for your own designer. This set may not be used for construction.
 
CONSTRUCTION SET - $1.00 per square foot *
A typical set of Construction Documents includes floor plans, four exterior elevations, sections, interior elevations, framing layout plans, roof truss profiles, and electrical plans. Basement finish layout will be provided as a floor plan or dashed on the first floor framing plan. The number of interior elevations varies from plan to plan. The price of the construction set will be reduced by $0.25 per square foot with the previous purchase of the design set. Purchase price includes one set of reproducible prints.

Plans available through Studio Z are protected by copyright. Purchase is for a single use only. You may purchase the right to multiple uses with a one-time additional charge of $500. Addresses of all uses must be registered with Studio Z to avoid copyright infringement.
We take care to make our construction drawings as complete and accurate as possible. However, due to the complexity of the design and construction process, we cannot guarantee perfection. Purchase of these plans implies a “Duty of Cooperation” between the architect, contractor and owner.
